It would be cool to choose "Start Unemployed" first and then when you are ready to apply for any given team, you should have an interview with the GM/Owner. The owner may ask you certain questions (Track record, philosophy and such) and based on how you answer will determine if you land the job or not compared to other candidates for the same position. Football Manager has something like this when you start unemployed, its a great feature because it increases the immersion like you are really trying to win a certain job for a team that you want to choose, maybe start as a minor league manager and with time and hopefully success you will get noticed by the big clubs and get job offers like in FM.
