Banks collects 5 hits, Brewers get third straight walk-off win versus Charlotte
Justin Banks(.315/.351/.449) not only banged out 5 hits in last night's victory against the visiting Charlotte Sting, but his last one, his 20th double of the season was the walk-off game winner.
This is three straight walk-off wins against the Sting, the last two both in extra innings.
Myles Ford (.279/.319/.507) has been hot of late and hit a pair of homers in the first win against Charlotte Thursday.
Game two saw
Eric Maisch last 8 innings while giving up just a single run on 6 hits while striking out a pair and walking just one batter, but being denied his 13th win of the season when
Dan Folk blew his first save opportunity of 1986. The walk-off winner came in the bottom of the 12th (after both teams scored a pair of runs in the 11th) and it came via
Willie Romero's 13th home run of the season, a two-run shot.
And in game 3, in addition to the heroics of
Justin Banks, rookie All-Star right fielder
Jerry Lillie also contributed a 3 for 5, 3 RBI game, hitting a pair of doubles to get to 21 in the season and also clubbing his 21st home run.
