Ultimate Team is the biggest mode in EA's FIFA and Madden video games. You buy/earn packs of cards and play against others who do the same thing.
They add in special edition cards, historical cards and stuff like that, so it's a bit of fantasy sports combined with the video game of choice.
It makes EA nearly 2 billion dollars a year.
MyTeam is just the NBA version of that for the 2K games.
The Show has Diamond Dynasty which is pretty much the same thing.
Diamond Dynasty and PT are the only ones I play, and I don't really spend money on them and just treat them as fun collecting mini-games.
