Thanks for the advice, I will experiment a lot with this information this weekend.
I'm noticing that during my games there are too many guys getting thrown out trying to steal bases. How can I cut down on the number of stolen base attempts? The way that my league is, with major advantages to the batters, I'd rather just let the hitters hit. It's frustrating when a baserunner on first gets caught stealing second base, when the batter up has a great chance of ripping a double into the gap and scoring the baserunner anyway.
In the words of Billy Beane in the Moneyball movie, "I pay you to get on first, not get thrown out at second."
UPDATE: I think I figured it out. In the Stats & AI section of the league settings I can set stolen base attempt frequency. If I switch it to "Very Rarely" that should work.
