			Y'all are hitting on one of the major flaws in the OOTP econic system as it overlaps with 'game' play in the form of owner goals.
 Here is the issue:  the owner never asks you to increase revenue (as a normal owner would). He asks you to increase attendance only. As several have pointed out you can make an attendance increase by slashing ticket price. This, however, likely drops your income from ticket sales, so in the incorrectly laid out world of OOTP economics, you have less to spend on players.
 
 MLB teams focus on 'yield' that is, setting ticket prices to produce the best combo of price and purchase to 'yield' the most revenue.
 
 Unfortunately, this reality is absent in OOTP
