Thought about putting Brett Baty on waivers and seeing if he cleared, then I realized I'm not going to trust him enough to bring him back and make him the 1B again. So he was dealt:

Romero is a useful lefty reliever with 60 stuff, 65 movement and 60 control. He's going to Durham for now because he has an option but I'm not sold on Reid Detmers right now but he's someone else that I would have to deal or waive so I need a little time on that.

Also, I've decided that James Hays will take Slade Cecconi's rotation spot because Cecconi is one of the few pitchers on the active roster who actually has options so he's headed to Durham, much to his chagrin I imagine.

Finally as a result of the Baty trade Angelo DiSpigna is recalled from AAA Durham and he'll get another shot at the 1B job where hopefully he performs more like 2025 (27 HR in 374 AB) than 2026 (8 HR and a .173 BA).
