Recap - Douglass looked good as he was in a slump and managed to be hard to hit for a change. Harvey Bailey battled him for 6 innings and got a no decision for Jones Beach. Paris Got one in the 6th and another run in the 7th as Cal McVey drove in the decisive run and was 3 for 3 while Richie Ashburn added 3 hits. Jones Beach was limited to 5 hits but 2 each from Brett Gardner and Garry Maddox

Recap - This game was 9-3 in the 9th and Paris rallied to get 5 runs but fell short. Thormodsgard was lit up for 7 runs and 8 hits in 3 innings. Rowe pitched 7 innings for Jones Beach and Paris got to Billy Serad for the 5 runs in the 9th before Calhoun slammed the door. Brett Gardner had 3 hits and George Jackson drove in 2 runs for Jones Beach in their victory. Piet hitting with more power than expected for sure. Hopkins hit a grand slam and Jack Dawson had 2 hits.
