So, you might be asking yourself why should I join The Ball ALIVE when there are plenty of other leagues out there.

Well, you might have been looking for a historical league. The Ball ALIVE is starting in 1919 with all of your favorite late deadball era/early live ball era stars like Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson, Tris Speaker, Ty Cobb and 480 other players.

Of course, if you know anything about the era, your next question might be will teams like the St. Louis Browns and Philadelphia Phillies have a chance of making the playoffs? The answer to that question is yes. Not only has The Ball ALIVE split the leagues into two divisions, allowing twice as many people to make the playoffs, but we are starting with an initial draft. While some purists may not enjoy seeing Ty Cobb on the Chicago Cubs or Babe Ruth on the Philadelphia Athletics, it does mean that the teams should be of relatively equal strength when the league starts.

Well, what about the name, The Ball ALIVE, that doesn't sound like a serious league that will be around to stand the test of time? The name should convey that we want The Ball ALIVE to be a league where everyone has fun with the league and the fellow owners. And as to your fears of a fly by night operation, both Sam and myself have been around for quite some time. This idea has been kicked around for about a year between the two of us and we think that the time is right for The Ball ALIVE. (As you can tell, I really like to say The Ball ALIVE.)

So, if you are looking for a quality league that's just starting so you can place your stamp on a team, while having a good time, The Ball ALIVE is for you.

Additionally, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact either Sam or myself and we will get to them promptly.
