Some little things I'm going to nit-pick about because we're talking about fixes for the next edition:
1) Enforcement of overlapping penalties is wonky. I don't care if the protocol for coincidental penalties is exactly the same as in real life (and I know some do care about things like that), but I've seen penalties just forgotten and teams getting jobbed out of power-play time. That's one example; if there are several penalties in quick succession there's usually a "huh?" moment.
2) Special teams in general needs work. I've mentioned the thing about players staying out of position even after a whistle once 5v5 has been restored. I've also noticed that many (most, I think) power play goals happen in the first 10 seconds.
3) Goaltender fatigue: If both goalies play, they're both fried the next day, as if they both played the whole game. My coach tends to lift a guy who has given up six goals. OK. He did it once when the sixth goal came at 19:57 of the third period, and the guy who played 3 seconds lost about as much condition as the guy who played 59:57.
