Also general feedback about picks in trades would be good too, because that can feel like a crap shoot earlier in the season. I get offered 5th round picks for 3/4 star guys on an expiring deal but then there are shop rumours of an overpaid veteran on a terrible contract for another 5 years and they laugh off my 5th round pick offer. It's not that I think these decisions are incorrect as I know Adam always responds with explanations of GM decision making and logic being relative to their respective situations at the time that the AI calculates all of it's responses to various trade opportunities, it's just that I'd like more variety in how the game tells me WHY these things happen so I can feel like i'm in a negotiation.

Obviously the 'make this work' button has been briefly touched on by Jeff before, that'd be great provided it suits the game as I know there are fundamental differences between FHM and OOTP.

Would real time trade negotiations ever be possible? Or is that too big an overhaul of the existing system? I mean when I think of the trade system in FHM now it sort of feels like I'm communicating with the other GM's via Fax or email. I send off my offer and then they see it, write out their response and then fax it back to me in black and white. However, in the OOTP trade system, I feel like I'm on a phone call or even in the same room as the other teams GM, they provide real time feedback and suggest various pieces that it would take to get the trade done, as you'd expect from a GM who's willing to negotiate and is looking to make deals of their own.
And trying to trade picks on draft day is a pain. Especially if you want to move down. I wanted to move down a few spots in the 4th round of a draft recently and the team I offered to wouldn't even accept swapping the picks straight up with no other compensation.
