Hold the champagne...
The Reds staved off elimination largely thanks to Alex Trujillo, who spent most of the year in AAA but held the Rays to 1 run and 3 hits in 7 innings tonight in a 4-2 Cincinnati win. Jim Brophy pitched well against his old team but probably shouldn't have come out for the 7th when he allowed 2 additional runs which proved to be the difference. Brad Jackson will try to get the Rays a gentleman's sweep tomorrow and make sure we're only going back to Tampa for a parade.
