Almost there...
The Rays flipped the script in Game 3 and won going away 8-3 after trailing 3-0 after 5. Now a good deal of that was because Jordan Perez had to leave in the 5th with a tired arm after shutting out his former teammates. But Josh Beckett continued to be a playoff beast, hitting a 2-run homer in the 6th to put them ahead to stay and then added a 2-run double in the 8th to break it open. MLB's batting champ has driven in 15 runs in 13 playoff games with a 423/444/731 performance after missing last year's postseason due to injury. Josh Alexander also had a big RBI triple to start the comeback. Jose Mendoza was sharp through 3, then wasn't in the 4th and 5th and special mention to seldom-used Jon Harbour, who got Mendoza out of the 5th without further damage and pitched into the 6th for the win, and the bullpen was lights-out the rest of the way. Jim Brophy will try to close it out against his old team on a very familiar mound tomorrow.
