CLB Online League - Openings

The Champions League Baseball (CLB) is currently starting the off-season after the 2042 World Series. The Pittsburgh Pirates are reigning champs after beating the Mariners in 5 games, and the league is very well balanced overall with the last 10 World Series all being won by different teams. This is an active and highly competitive league with an excellent group of experienced GMs, but we are in need of additional GMs as a few long time players have stepped back from OOTP.

The teams we currently have available are -

Toronto Blue-Jays - 80-82 - Down year for a previously strong team who won the ALE the previous season. Young ace Jay Cragg anchors the rotation and power hitting Stan MacBean will get over 400 career HRs next year. Also have the #1 ranked prospect in the game and a decent budget so well placed to compete.

Houston Astros - 71-91 - A tough year in a tough division for the Astros, but one of the top ranked farms gives hope for the future. With a limited budget to chase additions in free agency, a youth movement looks the way to go in Houston. Slugger Anibal Gonzalez anchors the lineup.

Atlanta Braves - 90-72 - Strong team just outfought by division rivals last year. Excellent rotation led by possible MVP Stan Vazquez and strong young hitting led by Mauro Valverde who led the league in HRs. Lots of room in one of the largest league budgets as well so very well placed to compete.

Chicago Cubs - 69-93 - In CLB, the curse of the billy goat is still intact with the lovable losers now waiting 133 years for another title. Tough recent run for the Cubbies as they haven't got up to 90 wins in a while and need a GM with a plan for the future but young hitters like Steve Penn and Pat Edwards help with the re-building.

St Louis Cardinals - 80-82 - Missed the playoffs this year after winning over 100 games 3 times in the previous 4 years. Ace Duane Coleman continues his superb STL career, and a core of young hitters like Jorge Ortiz and a good deep farm mean the Cards will look to bounce back quickly.

We are on OOTP 22 and the Rulebook is here. The basics are:

Sims are Sun/Tues/Thurs at 9:00PM during the regular season, and every other day during the offseason.

Scouts are on, coaches are off, no stars or overall ratings.

We get new GMs to complete at least 3 successful exports before they are allowed to trade, and the primary ask is to keep the export rate high and communicate with us if you are unable to export. League comms is through discord.
