I haven't played OOTP 22 in a few months and was thinking about picking it up again this week. My league just started the offseason (awards about to be announced).

My question is: in anticipation of needing to upgrade this league to OOTP 23 in the near future, would I be better off staying in the offseason stage, starting the next season, or doesn't matter? I wasn't sure if one scenario made the upgrade easier than others.
