Walkers news: April 27 -- Reliever Fagan called up from AAA; Milliano sent down to Redbirds
The St. Louis River Walkers have called up right-handed relief pitcher Mike Fagan from AAA Memphis and sent rookie righty Maximilliano Minelli down to the Redbirds.
Acquired from Cleveland in an off-season trade, Fagan suffered a back injury during spring training which forced him to begin the season in the minors.
In five games with Memphis, Fagan didn't have a decision but did post three saves and a 0.00 ERA.
In his 6.2 innings, Fagan struck out three batters and posted a 0.60 WHIP.
Minelli, who was signed as a free agent in the offseason, earned the chance to make his major-league debut after a strong spring training.
April wasn't good to Minelli, 24, who in eight outings was 0-1 with a 10.80 ERA.
He pitched a total of five innings, during which he struck out two and had a 3.20 WHIP.
