I will follow the instructions. I just don't understand what was meant by a tweak. I want to create these 2 leagues to a very high standard so this will be a big project for me.

Look, I hate to rain on your parade but without a huge amount of work the majority of NeL players are basically useless, or at best completely unrepresentative of the players themselves.
Check out my Bucs save, in which I have integrated the league in 1909 and imported players each year since. Even after I have basically edited these players from the ground up using a host of sources, I am still having massive problems that are unresolved and under investigation, which I believe are involved with my methodology of cloning them so as to get around recalc.
Also, my Eclipse League is a full RD save that excludes all white players. This has recalc off, just using dev and seems to be working better, but again that is only after hours upon hours of manually curating NeL players. I have explained my process in some detail
here, which might be worth a read.
So there is really one clearly defined three-way choice here: either you simply import the NeLers and just take what you get or do what I have done and heavily curate them or you just exclude them altogether. This will obviously depend on how badly you want this setup to work.
