Banging away at correcting the errors in my Master.csv file, and then converting it into the monster historical database.odb file. Started with players that debuted from 1871-1900, 'cause that's where I figured the most errors would be. Boy, was I right. I'm up to Bob McHale (mchalbo01, mchale001bob). It's keeping me busy alright. Bit of a slog, but I like to mess around with spreadsheets the way some folks like to mess around with their cars.
I figure that once the AL joined in 1901, the biographical data got cleaned up a whole bunch, so I may just skip that, and accept the occasional mistake or two. There's still so much we don't know about players in the first 30 seasons of the game though, so that'll be my focus.
