Christian O'Ferrall to Denver in mid-February is starting to look like a genius move.
O'Ferrall added goals number 4 and 5 to his total for the series and the playoffs thus far and the Avs got the 3-2 win at home to move on to the next round of the playoffs.
They await the conclusion of the Winnipeg-Chicago series, in which the Blackhawks now hold a 3-2 advantage. Calgary vanquished Vancouver in 5 games while Edmonton Oilers currently hold a 3-2 advantage over Vegas.
Over in the Eastern Conference, the New York Islanders defeat Philly in 5 games, the reigning Stanley Cup champs Ottawa do the same to the New York Rangers, and the Buffalo Sabres score a 4-1 series upset over the Toronto Maple Leafs. The only series still going is New Jersey leading 3-2 against Washington.
