NR Awards Best Batter Prize to Kelm: So far in his young career, Admiral Kelm has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the North Region in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 14-year-old Lynn Pier Gamers left fielder hit at a torrid .545 clip as he collected 12 hits in 22 at-bats, 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
Orphans Emerald Sapphire Wins SR Award: Emerald Sapphire burst onto the South Region stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie second baseman for State House garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy.
The 16-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .577 (15-for-26) with 8 home runs and 19 RBIs last week.
