EC, just spend the $800 you originally planned on. Remember, you were perfectly happy with your old computer until the hard drive went south.

Some people aren't paying attention to your needs very well. For example, a SSD that won't hold all your music files.

Your priorities are to run OOTP and store your music files. Your old computer did that. So a big upgrade in performance is clearly unnecessary.
