Sure, for most of us the 'gifts' didn't harm the game economy; indeed it benefited many (including me) when there were PP flying about to take early lucky drops off your hands for a good price. But that isn't really the point, is it? It's an easy fix - for whatever reason it mustn't happen again.

I don't mean to minimize the fact that a decision was made that was probably not in the best interest of the game, but the reality is it made not even a minimal difference to me or 99.9% of the rest of the players. The only player(s) it directly affected was the team in the 700 or so at Diamond level that would have taken its place had this person not been given a free ride. I just can't get too concerned considering me and 99.9% of the others had no hope of reaching Perfect level in the first place. That said, however, I'm disappointed (not angry) that the OOTP team decided that was a solution - and even more disappointed that they couldn't keep it secret. Today's world is full of misinformation and conspiracies, and this decision played right into that.
