Held on 12/20/1919.
6 more Legacies join the fray this year, but perhaps there is more interest in the big batch of NeL players coming aboard, the largest induction yet. Some big manes among their ranks including Andy Cooper, Harry Salmon, John Beckwith and Biz Mackey.
These are the Legacy Players for the 1920 season:
Chicago Cubs: Sheriff Blake (10.7; 255)
Chicago White Sox: Bibb Falk (22.8; 1067)
Cleveland Indians: Joe Sewell (54.7; 1513)
New York Yankees: Bob Meusel (27.5; 1294)
Philadelphia Athletics: Eddie Rommel (49.8; 501)
Pittsburgh Pirates: Pie Traynor (38.5; 1941)
Slim Harriss (13.6; 257) was also eligible for the A’s, but Rommel’s higher WAR makes him the selection.
Johnny Morrison (18.8; 242) was also eligible for the Pirates, but Traynor’s higher WAR makes him the selection.

We get a handy Legacy this time around, although with Lundy and Marcell we are already pretty stocked at his two positions, so we’ll need to formulate a plan to make it all work best to our advantage. After that it is all about getting the best prospects available as our group for now is pretty set.
Here’s who we end up selecting:
1.
SS Pie Traynor, 21- A great type, the plan with Pie is to teach him how to play 2B – he currently plays SS and 3B – at AAA and see how that goes. I am concerned about the continued dropoff in Groh’s defence, so we need this position sorted out. Hopefully this is the solution we seek.
2.
OF Heinie Mueller, 20- Another who’ll start at AAA and hopefully become a useful backup OF down the track.
3.
C Zack Taylor, 24
4.
P Juanelo Mirabal, 18
5.
P Roy Moore, 21
- Two squads to keep in mind now. Not sure any of these guys will ever see MLB action, but each fills a key role at AAA.
6.
IF Jack Sheehan, 26
7.
P Benn Karr, 26
8.
P Joe Kiefer, 20- Scout’s picks, all merely AAA filler.
