$0 was spent on that team. I had help during entry pool with a Roger Connor pull, which IIRC I sold for a mil. The proceeds from that allowed me to start buying the players I wanted as well as complete collections which I thought would be good for re-sell value. Tournament packs as well as selling pulls that I wasn't going to use for anything were a factor as well. It's not my fault that dead teams in the lower levels couldn't touch me. I don't remember exactly how much I made each week in the lower levels, but the PP gain was significant purely because of how teams were getting blown out against me.
Not all the players were acquired by doing the collections. With the sale of previously mentioned pulls from collections I was never gonna complete, I used the proceeds to buy some players outright. Last time I checked there was nothing wrong with that. Also, FWIW, I do not think this team can win consistently in diamond. I believe it'll end up in the gold/diamond yo-yo purely because you see all the big spenders who completed all of the collections and have all the chase cards from packs as well as the very best tournament SE's. My team, while good, is not good enough to beat those people on a consistent enough basis to challenge for a diamond league title.
Genuinely, I figured gold would be where this group would start meeting some real resistance. Yeah, it does feel like a speed run to diamond, but in the sense that more work was done than you'd think for a speed run.
