State of Affairs
There are two games left on the regular season, and we know 9 of the 10 teams that will be battling for the Sole Survivor Series.
Heading into the final two games, there are also two league titles up for grabs. The Institute League is the simplest to figure out with Fort Hagen (64-42) up two games on Concord (62-44). The Silver Shroud were shut out 7-0 by Starlight (53-53) in their bid to clinch the league title. On the other hand, the Radstags handed Abernathy (53-53) a 10-2 smashing. Neither team will have it easy in a bid to win the league, but Concord is at a disadvantage and likely to be the fourth-seed in the NCA.
In the other NCA league, the Brotherhood League, the two top teams are tied. Nordhagen Beach (66-40) edged Finch Farm (33-73) 1-0 to get the upper hand in Game 1. Easy Town (66-40) had a tougher matchup, dropping Game 1 to Salem (55-51) by a score of 4-1. Not only that, but the Witch Hats' final two starters on their season are Roberto Gonzales (10-9, 3.21) and Tony Bertha (14-6, 2.89). The Party Boys face Chad Behr (6-14, 5.57) and Good Company Schiller (7-9, 4.71).
The battle for the 5th seed in the SCA is also intriguing with four teams tied for the final spot heading into yesterday's games and an elimination weekend among the four. In the Minutemen League, the University Point Deathclaws (54-52) got the edge in winning their sixth straight, 7-4, over Quincy (53-53). One more loss and the Gunners are eliminated. In the Railroad League, FHE (54-52) got a 6-5 win over Egret (53-53), leaving the Ninjas in must-win mode.
In other SCA action, Vault 81 (66-40) still holds a one-game lead over Goodneighbor (65-41) for the #1 seed in the association. Diamond City (60-48) also took a two-game lead for the third seed over Jamaica Plain (58-48) after the Red Rockets suffered an 8-1 loss to Warwick (46-60).
