All good points. I think there are ways to make the friends/group system work better but for now we should all look to build up our friends list from scratch.
On a related note though I think there is something some of us can do to help (although some players are less active now). I am sure some of you have kept an organized and updated list all season but I have not. While I was doing a good job changing OL teams each week I had not noticed that if a team had dropped the OL from their name I was not even seeing them when I updated my list (and keeping them as friends unintentionally). We continue to keep old OL teams in our league (like Cedar Rapids and Texarkana) because people like me took a while to remove them. I hope we can stay mostly together for as long as possible.
Congrats on the move and I hope your cat adjusts well. I moved a lot for a time in my life (now in syrupy Vermont for over 10 years) and know how exhausting it can be (exciting in many ways as well). Speaking of cats the Octal Black Cats seems like a good name for a team in honor of our cat but it would conflict with the bird theme.
