In the 2D game I'd rather they allow us to coach rather than direct a player already on the ice. Pausing the game to instruct a player to shoot, pass, etc breaks the flow. I'm sure I wouldn't use that.

However, the ability to easily match lines, switch players on lines, change strategy for the players who will be going in would be fun.
