Ft Worth fired GM Miles Thomas. The 60-year-old, in his 4th season as Cowboy GM, was unavailable for comment. The club is 61-89, 38.5 games out, and hasn't won more than 76 games under Thomas' leadership.
The club also announced it had parted ways with the Manager. In just his 2nd season (after taking over early last year (club went 60-61 under him)) he had taken home the 2009 Manager of the year with Philadelphia after their world series win, lost in the post-season a year later, and then failed to make it and was hired by Ohio were he lasted just a year.

Juan Galvis (CHI) tossed a 2-hit CG SHO to beat Denver 3-0.
