Catcher Jess Orndorff played 5 games for the 1907 Boston Doves batting .118, no extra base hits and seven strikeouts. By 1925, Jess Orndorff had moved on from the field to become the secretary of the Association of Professional Ball Players of America, formed to help professional players who had fallen on hard times.
