As an aside, I'm actually also doing the reverse and making a version of Benny Leonard in WMMA. Since Leonard was really agile (looking at footage, some of his ducking movements make it seem like he could shoot for a takedown at any moment), and excellent in thought and preperation, I can see him being a viable strike-first MMA fighter if he had time to train for takedown defense and the ground game.
