If this is a bug it hasn't been fixed yet. Nobodies with zero reputation who are pitching coaches in short season A won't even accept a major league role. This makes it impossible to keep coaches around as they gain rep and pointless to try and develop them.
I wish I could just keep managers and turn the rest of the coaches off. This area of the game has been screwed up in some way or another for 7 years now and I'm sick of messing around with it.
