Tim Jordan was a repeat home run champ for the Brooklyn Superbas with 12 HRs in both 1906 and 1908. For the time they were also prodigious HRs. A 1908 article in the Pittsburgh Press once remarked: "If Tim Jordan would get over his unfortunate habit of trying to knock the cover off the ball, the Superbas' percentage of victories would be improved. The Bronx biffer hits long and tall flies with unceasing regularity, and it's no wonder he is far down in the batting averages."
