My thanks as well.
Rather a bitter irony that Joe Citari, a victim of "Lou Gehrig's disease", was also a first baseman, I suppose.
Also with the Astros is Greg Cypret, who IRL starred at the University of Missouri, where he was a 3x All-American shortstop, set several career batting marks, and was eventually inducted into their Hall of Fame. Three strong seasons for AAA Tucson (1981-1983), but he never reached the 'Dome, and when the tragic injury to Dickie Thon opened up a spot in 1984, Cypret was in terrible form and got released at year's end.
Here, Thon's still an Angel (Gary Pettis tore his MCL, so Dickie will get a full shot at the SS job) and so Cypret played about half the season last year, and posted a respectable .286/.325/.375. But for some reason the AI doesn't rate him well at SS, and signed Alfredo Griffin to a 5-year deal over the winter. Huh.

Speaking of the Houston infield, Johnny Ray is at 2B (no Garner trade in the sim), but is looking significantly paler than the evidence suggests he should. (Can't blame the database; he's properly coded as "African".) Could you remedy this?
