Hi guys,

Yes, you can run the full version OOTP on a Chromebook -- it's not nearly as scary as it sounds, especially once you set it up. I'm typing this post on a Chromebook with OOTP running in the background :-)

For the game to work, you will need the Steam version of the game. Right now, Steam is only available on Chromebook if you activate Linux on your Chromebook, but that is super easy to do and is a totally safe environment, as you won't break your Chromebook by activating it. Linux on Chrome OS is just a virtual machine running Linux inside Chrome OS. And ironically, Chrome OS itself is actually a Linux-based operating system, but most people don't even realize it.

Chrome OS and Steam are actually partnering on a new project to make gaming on a Chromebook via Steam even more streamlined than it is now and theoretically improving performance, etc. So, if you're interested in going the Chromebook route, you don't necessarily have to say goodbye to OOTP.

The only thing I'd recommend is that, if you have the option & means, I'd recommend getting a Chromebook with a core i5 processor to help boost performance, if you like playing in manager mode with the 3D view. It runs OK on my core i3 Chromebook, but the animations are definitely a lot smoother on my core i5 machine.

Let me know if you have any specific questions on how to accomplish this.
