Josh Alexander was the stud prospect we acquired in the offseason from Seattle for Ricky Loya. He struggled with perhaps an aggressive promotion to Durham in April, and went back to AA Montgomery. I'd say he responded:
The news from the farm wasn't all good:
Lauritsen is one of our top pitching prospects (acquired for Victor de Jesus a couple of winters ago) and was off to a brilliant start at Durham. Now he'll miss the rest of this year and most of 2038. He was more of a finesse/control type than a flamethrower so we'll see how the surgery affects him.
