This is a photo of Joseph Schachern, Jr., son of the minor league player Joseph Schachern. Because he has such an unusual head shape, very thin and long, it might be useful in identifying his father in the Portland photo as the player second from left, middle row. The nose shape seems to be the same.
This photo comes from the Huntingdon (PA) Daily News of May 21, 1948. Another article about the wedding announcement ties him to his mother, Mrs. Joseph Schachern of Monaca, PA, which is the town where the ballplayer died in 1943.
