Eddie Bane

Eddie Bane played for Team USA when they won Silver in the 1971 Pan American Games. He was a star pitcher for Arizona State in the early 1970s, including the 1972 team that lost a heartbreaking final round game to USC, 1-0, in the 1972 College World Series. Drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 1st round of the 1973 amateur draft, Bane made his pro debut at the big league level. He eventually developed arm trouble and pitched only 44 major league games with a 7-13 record. He hung around in AAA through 1980. - bRef Bullpen wiki
