It doesn’t matter if it’s a pitcher but every 4+ star rated player I acquire from trades or free agency plays absolutely horrible. Pitchers’ ERAs are 5.00 or greater when they had ERA’s under 3.00 when before I acquired them. Batters who were hitting over .300 with big power numbers hit .220 with little power for me. Of course then the players drop to 2 or 2.5 stars and with big salaries are untradable. Does anybody else have similar experiences? I made some big trades just before the training deadline when I was in first place by 3 games and I month later I’m 7 games back and got swept by 2 last place teams even though every single player in my lineup rated higher than the other team. I could understand this happening once in awhile but it happens every season. Hopefully someone can enlighten me on why this keeps happening.
