Hernandez was awful last year, and even while retaining half of his last year of salary I still added to the budget (helped go get Polanco and still leave room for more to get done if possible). He also asked twice to be traded because he was losing time to guys that were performing better.

Marquez & Velasquez are both 24 controllable for a number of years and Marquez may slide right into my bullpen. Velasquez is 2.5 star AAA guy who could fill in if necessary in the OF.
