I have a player who is a very dynamic offensive threat. His strengths are his skating and playmaking. His Offensive Read is also very good. One area that is actually rather weak is his 'Team Play' attribute. How will this negatively impact his playmaking ability?

As of now I've avoided making him a 'playmaker' and using his speed and stickhandling and making him more of a 'dangler' and leaving the playmaking to his line-mate. It's worked obviously, but if I do make him a playmaker down the line, will his underwhelming team play attribute torpedo his stats/ability in that area?
