I've opened 8400 packs on one team, and currently have 283 silver cards which still aren't used in any missions, yet many of the silvers required for the latest mission set were double or even triple dip cards, as mentioned. This is especially lame if you've actually completed the missions that some of these cards were previously required for, but using different cards. You get to pay the inflated price, without working towards completion of multiple missions at once. Paying 13K for a Rockies silver card was nice.

Especially egregious is the Mets TM2 mission (maybe others as well that I lucked into completing more easily.) In order to complete it, you must obtain either: Ed Charles 92 (already used in Goldschmidt BAL), Todd Hundley 91 (already used in Lucroy BAL AND an All-Star card), or spring for the 'Perfect' (but unusable at higher levels) Carlos Beltran card.
So if you completed those earlier missions using different Diamonds? Have fun paying 100K for a card which you only need for this one mission.
There are Diamond Mets cards which aren't used in any missions yet (I can see Sid Fernandez and Bob Ojeda on the AH), and probably some others that were used in earlier missions. Restricting the mission requirements this way seems very arbitrary and only benefits players who had the fortune of completing earlier missions with these exact cards. Like to speculate / plan ahead / open packs? Tough luck.
