Park-adjusted stats shouldn't use ballpark factors but rather observed park factors
I was under the assumption that the park-adjusted stats like OPS+ would use three year park factors calculated off the actual stats, just like they do in real life, but it seems as though these stats use the Ballpark Factors from the ballpark editor. I changed factors on a park to an extreme level and it modified each player's OPS+ for each season of their career on that team. This doesn't make much sense for a few reasons, most notable being that if you change the park going forward, adjusting past stats is quite obviously wrong. I also noticed that even if you "move" a team to a new ballpark, the past stats for players of that team get modified to that new park's factor - also obviously wrong.
Has this been brought up before?
EDIT: This also results in some strange highlighting of league leading stats on player pages. It seems that the red indicating leader is stamped at the end of the season, so if an adjustment in park factors changes these past stats, you can end up with a player having a lower OPS+ or WAR than the "new" leader but with the red text still indicating they led the league.
