Why doesn't it make sense? Prospects were often rated very differently in different media, and it's known that some media just do a better job than the others. And have you really seen top 100 lists containing 1-2 blue star players? I think you are exaggerating too much to make a point.
Maybe you should have argued the other way that the smoke and mirrors in the blue star system was not enough. That could be enhanced since now we've gotten the top 100 list fixed. Heh.
