I think playing one-pitch skews how we see the game. (But I still do it.) As brotherblues pointed out, you see all of your pitcher's pickoff attempts, but only see those of the opposition if something happens. I've had players who seemed to strike out every time they had two strikes on them, and checked their stats expecting to find absurd numbers of strikeouts, and just found high numbers of strikeouts. 100% of strikeouts occur when there are two strikes.

The latest weird thing I think I must be imagining is that the batting average of a starting pitcher who just gave up a hit to the other starting pitcher seems to be about .800. If one pitcher gets a hit, the other pitcher gets a hit. Probably not, really, but it feels that way.
