King's End Curse beat Miners in 5 for World Series Title!
I don't know if anyone really believes in "curses" but many King's fan (and management did). Well all that nonsense came to an end as Brooklyn finally added a World Series Pennant and joined all the other current FABL clubs in having won it at least once.
The King's dispatched a rugged and gritty Pittsburgh Miners team that was looking for only its 2nd World Series title and first since 1901 in 5 games. The fact the Miner's even made it to the World Series is a testament to their players and coaches as the team has been besieged by injuries all season to their position players.
For those that believe in curses and superstition, this just goes to show you that C Jim Kyle who has now won 4 World Series titles with 4 different teams every 3rd year, is more powerful than an late 19th century pitcher who swore vengeance on the King's for releasing him before the turn of the century.
Congrats to the Kings for getting the monkey off their back and to former Dynamo players Al Wheeler and Frank Vance for winning their 2nd championships. Now all Detroit has to do is secure the services of Jim Kyle for the 1940 team and we will be celebrating another title in Detroit.
