What I said was in support of you
You said you would be okay with 3 people having their name on the award.
Two were black pro players, the third was a white manager/GM
James either never read what you said or never stopped to think that 33% of the people you named are neither black or players.
Personally, I would be okay with about a dozen player names on the MVP award.
Or it having no name at all. Before last years removal os his name, I think I had only heard once in passing that Landis had his name on the award,
I think even most hardcore baseball people just referred to it as the MVP award.
One more question you might be able to answer.
Is this name for both the NL and AL, or will each award get its own name?
I know it's tradition. But I always found it silly that there are two awards.
The NFL technically has two awards, but only the most hardcore NFL sickos could name the winners of each award. Most people just know the name of the MVP of the combined league.
