Some off-day news… Anthony Rizzo signed a 4-year extension with the Cubs – he’ll earn an additional $76M over that span as, presumedly, their everyday first baseman… Houston’s Alex Bregman took home Player of the Week honors in the American League – he hit .429 on the week with 4 dingers and 9 RBI – and the Cardinals’ Tommy Edman took home that same honor in the National League with a .480 average, a homer, 11 RBI, and 7 runs.
