Walkers news: May 7 -- Toledo 6, St. Louis 3

Record: 17-15 3rd, 5.5 GB Cedar Rapids
Tied 3-3, Quiang Chang connected on an RBI double off St. Louis relief pitcher Luke Dunkin in the bottom of the seventh inning to put Toledo in front, and the Mud Hens went on for a 6-3 win at Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium (1974).
The win gave Toledo wins in three of the four games in the series.
The River Walkers had tied it at 3-3 on a two-run homer from Nathaniel Dixon off Hens reliever Matt Todd in the top of the seventh.
Toledo had gone up 3-0 in the bottom of the first thanks to a solo homer from Chris Gibbs and a two-run shot from Andy Jordan off Walkers starting pitcher Jim Martin.
Toledo padded its lead by two runs in the bottom of the eighth against reliever Scott Rissler.
Rissler walked two batters in the inning, and hit another and when Chang singled with two outs, a pair of runs scored.
Toledo starting pitcher Bobby Wheeler was impressive allowing one run on one hits in six innings. He struck out four but walked five.
Todd (2-0) pitched a pair of innings, allowing the two runs on Dixon's homer.
Nick Strother worked around a pair of hits in the ninth for his eighth save.
