Why? It’s a lame rule; like Little League. One of the joys of OOTP for me is to deactivate it, as well as the stupid three-batter minimum for relievers. And no seven-inning doubleheader games for me. What I wish is that OOTP could offer the option of losing the DH once the SP is removed from the game. Maybe next year?
