Baseball of the Americas
I have been working on a promotion relegation league for a while, and I have finally started a save. The association consists of 3 different leagues with 10 teams each:
Premium Baseball of the Americas (PBOTA)
Baseball of the Americas (BOTA)
Sub Baseball of the Americas (SuBOTA)
A couple of quick points about the league
-2 teams are promoted/relegated each year by the final standings
-Top 4 teams in each league have a best of 7 playoffs/championship
-Top 4 teams in each league enter into a single elimination tournament between all three leagues
-Draft occurs with 1 pool for all three leagues, SuBOTA picking first followed by BOTA, then PBOTA
I began the save in the year 2020, simulated 50 years, and then chose a team that I thought would be a good project. I wanted to pick a team in SuBOTA with the hopes of getting them to PBOTA, with some championships along the way. I selected the Minneapolis Huskies.
The team has been in the playoffs 17 times through the leagues 50 year history and boasts 2 PBOTA championships and 4 BOTA championships. However, they have never won the big one, the PBOTA championship. The team won their most recent BOTA championship in 2067 (current day is going into 2071 season) earning themselves a trip to PBOTA along the way. They only lasted 2 years, fell to BOTA and then fell down to SuBOTA. This is their first time in the lower league since 2049. I am looking forward to taking this team out of the depths of the league, with the hope of eventually achieving the PBOTA championship, but we have to get there first...
