To show it can be done on a F2P, I did the Pete Rose mission on my F2P Brooklyn Dynasty, member of BFF. I packed a lot of the lower-tier cards, and was funded to complete the diamond mission by a 99 Andrelton Simmons pull, as well as selling the SE's of teams I had no desire to complete anytime soon (or ever).

You can do it with a little luck and the right timing. I've also completed Heilmann, Biggio, and Peavy. (Heilmann and Peavy were bought outright, but Biggio was done through collections)

On one of my other F2P teams, I did the Yankees. Guidry was done up to diamond, and then bought the perfect, again funded by a lucky pull and cash-in.

Right place, right time. That's what it's all about.

That said, I still rated it a 5/10. I like the concept of powering up your BaL player along the way, but I do agree with the consensus that it can be hard to do it as a F2P, especially if your resource avenues are so limited because of one thing or another. If you wanna do it though, the way will eventually be paved for you somehow.
